Solution.

40 · 100% = 800
5%

Answer: 800.



Example 2.
270 women working in the plant. This is 30% of all workers. How many people work at the plant?

Solution.

270 · 100% = 900
30%

Answer: 900 people work at the plant.



Example 3.
How much you need to put on deposit at 10% per annum to a year to make a profit of 1000$.

Solution.

1000 · 100% = 10000
10%

Answer: deposit must be 10,000$.
