Rules. Convert Decimals to Common Fractions
To convert a decimal to common fraction : Find out place the denominator is e.g. 10ths, 100ths, 1000ths etc. Write the decimal without the decimal point in the numerator, and put the appropriate 10, 100, 1000 etc number in the denominator.
Before the common fraction write integer part of the decimal fraction. If an integer part of a decimal fraction is zero, then it doesn’t write before decimal fraction. You have common fraction and can simplify fraction (To simplify a fraction, divide the top and bottom by the highest number that can divide into both numbers exactly. Simplifying (or reducing) fractions means to make the fraction as simple as possible).
